Dissemination of Project Comenius

project dissemination of the movement to Ankara , Turkey between 14-20

COLOIANUL
Caloianul is a ritual to invoke rain, practiced in times of drought or in the days after Easter. The defining element of habit, present in all regional variants, the clay doll. The doll was dressed in coj ready shaped eggs. Place flowers around and goes to crying children group that mimics the ritual of the funeral, to be placed on water.

Pour down lots of water,
Water from the jug,
For the girl to grow,
Water from the mug
For the boy to grow,
Bring along the rain
And turn it into flood…
