Education
Institutions from Cuenca (Spain), Ankara (Turkey), Vratza (Bulgaria),
Jastrzebie Zdrój (Poland) and Braila (Romania) all working in Infant and
Primary Education, join in this project to develop ideas, contents and
methodology related to art and creativity in children.
We
want to familiarise pupils with different lifestyles of other cultures in order
to increase their creativity and to open up their minds to other cultures. We
try to accomplish this point by the power of Art through which they will
experience the different daily lives in several European towns. They will be
using Art as a way of learning new things.
This
project will promote equality, social cohesion and active citizenship by
addressing educational disadvantage through high quality education. Moreover,
the project will enhance creativity and innovation at early education and
training. Multimedia presentations about each
school (greeting video), pictures about children`s lives (at school, at
home), art works with recycled material, a song dealing with curricular
contents, performing daily life in Europe, exhibition of puppets and role
playing daily life, ceramic mud, celebrating each country`s Day are some of the
products this partnership will work on.
Pupils will draw with different kinds of
drawing materials (crayons, colored pencils), then they will use recycled
materials to create new art forms. Each school will learn a children´s song
about curricular aspects. The students will do role plays on the stage and
imitate the characters of their daily life (family members, their teachers,
friends). Our project will end with an exhibition of ceramic mud. They will use
ceramic mud and create works symbolising some important sites in each town.
